rental regulations

Rental regulations 1. Reservation and payment All bookings require a valid VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Revalut or Bizum credit card to process payment. When booking online, payment can be made through a secure payment gateway or by bank transfer. All reservations must be paid in full in advance. 2. Minimum rental period The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours), beginning at the time specified in the Rental Agreement. If the motorcycle is returned late, the rate will be charged according to the provision in Section 11. 3. Return policy A rental day equals 24 hours. For example, if a motorcycle is picked up at 10:00 a.m., it must be returned by 10:00 a.m. on the return day specified in the contract. Hourly or partial rentals are not offered. If the motorcycle is returned earlier than the agreed rental period, there is no refund for unused days. 4. Availability guarantee Upon confirmation of the reservation, the Renter will receive an email confirming the availability of the selected motorcycle. However, MotoLife Canarias reserves the right to swap the reserved motorcycle due to unforeseen circumstances such as technical failure, accident damage or theft. If a model of similar value is not available, the difference will be refunded - and this is the full responsibility of MotoLife Canarias. 5. Cancellation and rescheduling
  • More than 30 days before rental starts: No charge.
  • 29–15 days before rental: 30% charge.
  • 14–8 days before rental: 50% charge.
  • 7–1 days before rental: 80% charge.
  • Rental day no-show up: 100% charge.
6. Force Majeure If the rental cannot begin or must be interrupted due to force majeure (e.g., natural disaster, war, strike, global health crisis), the following applies: Before the rental begins: MotoLife Canarias will retain the amount paid as a credit for future motorcycle rental. 7. Responsibilities of the Tenant The renter agrees to use the motorcycle responsibly, observe all traffic regulations and safety rules. The renter should regularly check oil, water, tire pressure and condition, and drive chain tension during the rental period.

The renter must have:
- A valid passport or ID card
- A valid international driver's license

The renter is responsible for all fines, penalties and administrative fees imposed during the rental period, plus a 25€ handling fee for each fine.

It is strictly prohibited to:
- Providing access to the motorcycle to unauthorized persons
- Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Using a motorcycle for commercial purposes or in competitions
- Riding off-road, on beaches or race tracks
- Making any technical or visual modifications
- Putting stickers, painting or mounting accessories (such as GoPro mounts) without permission
- Leaving the island

MotoLife Canarias may charge a €20 cleaning fee if traces of glue or modifications to the appearance of the motorcycle are detected.
8. Duties and responsibilities of the lessor MotoLife Canarias will deliver a motorcycle that is in good working order, clean and fully roadworthy, complete with all documents and tools. Existing damage must be documented photographically. Any repairs during the rental must be approved in advance by MotoLife Canarias. Lessor's liability for non-performance of the contract is limited to the rental value. Further claims are excluded unless they are due to willful misconduct or gross negligence. 9. Renter's liability for damages The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or depreciation of the motorcycle from the time of pickup to its return, excluding normal wear and tear. Liability includes accidents, misuse, or neglect.Example (tire damage): If a new tire costs €150 and the old tire has 50% tread remaining, the renter will pay €75. Photos are taken before and after the rental to compare tire condition.The renter is fully responsible for:
  • Damage resulting from off-road riding, on beaches, or on tracks
  • Improper use (e.g., "burning rubber" or "flat tire")
  • Excessive clutch or tire wear
  • Loss or damage to accessories (helmets, keys, clothing) If the motorcycle becomes unusable due to the renter's fault, no replacement or refund will be provided.
10. Accident or damage In case of accident, loss or damage:
- Immediately notify MotoLife Canarias by telephone
- Do not arrange towing or repairs without permission
- In the event of an accident, notify the police
- Collect all evidence and witness data
- Report any warning lights or technical faults
- Do not admit fault or make payments that may affect insurance
11. Return of the motorcycle The motorcycle must be returned in the same condition, with all accessories, documents and a full tank of fuel. Otherwise, a fee of €20 per tank plus the cost of fuel will be added.

Additional fees:
- 25€ for handling any fine
- 25€ for late pickup/return up to 1 hour; over 1 hour - charge for an additional day of rental
- 150€ for loss of vehicle documents
- 20€ for excessive dirtiness of the motorcycle
MotoLife Canarias has the right to terminate the contract without notice in case of a serious violation (e.g., false data, improper use). In this case, the motorcycle must be returned immediately.
12. Travel insurance MotoLife Canarias strongly recommends purchasing travel, health, accident and trip cancellation insurance. 13. Printing and calculation errors MotoLife Canarias reserves the right to correct any typographical or accounting errors at any time. 14. Security Deposit Policy – Canarian MotoLife At Canarian MotoLife, we prioritize the safety of our motorcycles and provide customers with a hassle-free rental experience. As part of the rental agreement, a deposit is required for each motorcycle ranging from €200 to €2,000, depending on the model. The deposit is collected at the time the motorcycle is picked up at our office.We accept debit and credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Revolut and Bizum. Please note: Maestro cards are not accepted. The deposit is blocked on the card for the duration of the rental (pre-authorization).Upon return of the motorcycle - as long as no damage is found - the block will be removed up to 3 business days.
