- making and confirming reservations,
- preparing and entering into rental agreements,
- providing motorcycle, scooter, bicycle or other vehicle rental services,
- verifying your eligibility and licence to operate the rented vehicle,
- handling payments, settlements and security deposits,
- complying with tax and accounting obligations,
- contacting you regarding your reservation or rental,
- handling damage, accidents, fines, breaches of the rental agreement or other incidents related to the rented vehicle,
- establishing, pursuing or defending legal claims.
Depending on the nature of the rental, we may process, in particular, data such as your first and last name, contact details, identity document details, driving licence details, information concerning your reservation and rental, information relating to payments and security deposits, as well as information concerning damage, fines or other incidents related to the rented vehicle.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data:
- pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – where processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract and for the conclusion and performance of the rental agreement,
- pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – where processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations to which the Controller is subject, in particular tax and accounting obligations,
- pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – where processing is necessary for the purposes of the Controller’s legitimate interests, including protecting rented property, handling damage and incidents, and establishing, pursuing or defending legal claims.
Requirement to provide personal data
Providing the personal data required to make a reservation and enter into a rental agreement is voluntary, but necessary in order to use the services provided by MotoLife Canarias.
Failure to provide the required data may make it impossible to make a reservation, enter into a rental agreement or release the vehicle to you.
Purpose of processing personal data
The MotoLife Canarias website allows you to contact us via WhatsApp. Reservations are not made directly through the website and the website does not process online payments.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, email or telephone, we may process the personal data you provide for the purposes of:
- responding to your message,
- providing information about vehicle and service availability,
- preparing a reservation,
- preparing an offer,
- further communication regarding the rental,
- establishing, pursuing or defending potential legal claims.
The scope of the personal data processed depends on the information you provide and may include, in particular, your first and last name, telephone number, email address, the content of your message and information concerning your planned rental.
Legal basis for processing
If your enquiry concerns the possibility of entering into a rental agreement or making a reservation, the legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
For other enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, i.e. the Controller’s legitimate interest in communicating with users, responding to enquiries and protecting against potential legal claims.
When you use a link to WhatsApp, you leave the MotoLife Canarias website and use a service provided by an external provider.
Personal data provided via WhatsApp may also be processed by the provider of that service in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Your personal data may be disclosed to entities cooperating with the Controller only to the extent necessary to fulfil a specific purpose.

Personal data processed on the basis of consent is retained until the consent is withdrawn, unless another legal basis exists for further processing.5. Social media
If you follow MotoLife Canarias profiles on social media, contact us through such platforms, comment on published content or otherwise interact with our profiles, we may process personal data made available by you through the relevant platform.
