Rental Terms and Conditions
When booking online, payment may be made through a secure payment gateway or by bank transfer. All bookings must be paid in full in advance.2. Minimum rental periodThe minimum rental period is one day (24 hours), starting at the time specified in the Rental Agreement.
If the motorcycle is returned late, an additional charge will apply in accordance with Section 11.3. Return policyOne rental day equals 24 hours. For example, if the motorcycle is collected at 10:00 a.m., it must be returned by 10:00 a.m. on the return date specified in the agreement.
Hourly or partial-day rentals are not offered.
If the motorcycle is returned before the agreed end of the rental period, no refund will be provided for unused days.4. Availability guaranteeOnce the booking has been confirmed, the Renter will receive an email confirming the availability of the selected motorcycle.
However, MotoLife Canarias reserves the right to replace the booked motorcycle due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a technical failure, accident damage or theft.
If a motorcycle of comparable value is unavailable, the difference in price will be refunded. This constitutes the full extent of MotoLife Canarias’ liability in such circumstances.5. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation policy:
- More than 30 days before the start of the rental: no cancellation fee.
- 29–15 days before the start of the rental: 30% cancellation fee.
- 14–8 days before the start of the rental: 50% cancellation fee.
- 7–1 days before the start of the rental: 80% cancellation fee.
- Failure to appear on the rental start date: 100% cancellation fee.
Rescheduling:
The Renter may change the rental dates only once, provided that MotoLife Canarias is notified at least 7 working days in advance. The new dates must fall within 3 months of the original rental dates.
Rescheduling is subject to an additional charge of 20% of the original rental price, with a minimum charge of €100.
Before the start of the rental: MotoLife Canarias will retain the amount paid as credit towards a future motorcycle rental.7. Renter’s obligations
The Renter agrees to use the motorcycle responsibly and comply with all road traffic regulations and safety requirements.
During the rental period, the Renter must regularly check the oil, coolant, tyre pressure and condition, and the tension of the drive chain.
The Renter must hold:
- A valid passport or identity card.
- A valid international driving permit.
The Renter is responsible for all traffic fines, penalties and administrative charges imposed during the rental period, plus a €25 handling fee for each fine.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Allowing unauthorised persons to use the motorcycle.
- Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Using the motorcycle for commercial purposes or in competitions.
- Riding off-road, on beaches or on racetracks.
- Making any technical or visual modifications.
- Applying stickers, painting the motorcycle or installing accessories (e.g. GoPro mounts) without permission.
- Taking the motorcycle off the island.
MotoLife Canarias may charge a €20 cleaning fee if adhesive residue or unauthorised modifications to the motorcycle’s appearance are found.
Any pre-existing damage must be documented with photographs.
All repairs carried out during the rental period must be approved in advance by MotoLife Canarias.
The Lessor’s liability for failure to perform the agreement is limited to the rental value. Further claims are excluded unless they arise from intentional misconduct or gross negligence.9. Renter’s liability for damage
The Renter is fully responsible for any damage to, loss of, or reduction in the value of the motorcycle from collection until return, excluding normal wear and tear.
This liability includes accidents, improper use, negligence and theft.
Example – tyre damage: If a new tyre costs €150 and the existing tyre has 50% of its tread remaining, the Renter will pay €75. Photographs are taken before and after the rental to compare the tyre’s condition.
The Renter is fully responsible for:
- Theft.
- Damage to the vehicle.
- Damage resulting from riding off paved roads, on beaches or on racetracks.
- Improper use (e.g. burnouts, creating a flat spot on a tyre, punctures caused by nails or riding on a flat tyre).
- Excessive wear of the clutch or tyres.
- Loss of or damage to accessories (helmets, keys and clothing).
If the motorcycle becomes unusable due to the Renter’s actions, no replacement motorcycle or refund will be provided.
In the event of an accident, loss or damage, the Renter must:
- Notify MotoLife Canarias immediately by telephone.
- Not arrange towing or repairs without prior approval.
- Notify the police in the event of an accident.
- Collect all available evidence and witness details.
- Report any warning lights or technical faults.
- Not admit liability or make payments that could affect insurance coverage.
The motorcycle must be returned in the same condition, with all accessories and documents, and with a full tank of fuel.
Otherwise, a €20 refuelling fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the fuel.
Additional charges:
- €25 for handling each traffic fine.
- €25 for collection or return delayed by up to 1 hour; delays exceeding 1 hour will be charged as an additional rental day.
- €150 for loss of the vehicle documents.
- €20 for excessive soiling of the motorcycle.
MotoLife Canarias reserves the right to terminate the agreement without prior notice in the event of a serious breach, such as providing false information or improper use of the motorcycle.
In such circumstances, the motorcycle must be returned immediately.
As part of the Rental Agreement, a security deposit of €500 to €2,000 per motorcycle is required, depending on the model. The deposit is collected when the motorcycle is picked up at our office.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Revolut and Bizum, including debit and credit cards. Please note that Maestro cards are not accepted.
The deposit is blocked on the card for the duration of the rental (pre-authorisation).
After the motorcycle has been returned, provided that no damage has been found, the hold will be released within 3 working days.

Security deposit policy – Group depositRenters shall pay one joint security deposit for the entire group, in an amount appropriate to the motorcycles selected. The deposit serves as security for the proper performance of the agreement and to cover any potential damage resulting from the damage, destruction or loss of any of the rented motorcycles.
The deposit is a group deposit, meaning that it secures all motorcycles covered by this agreement, regardless of which member of the group was using a particular motorcycle at the time the damage occurred.
If any of the rented motorcycles is found to have been damaged, destroyed or lost, the Lessor is entitled to retain the deposit in full, regardless of the actual amount of the damage incurred.
Retention of the deposit does not exclude the Lessor’s right to claim additional compensation from the Renters to the extent that the value of the damage exceeds the amount of the retained deposit.
